![]() Paul Walton An 'obsession for technology' is what spurred Paul Walton to create a technical production company that delivers precision and creative solutions, and hence Fusion Entertainment was established in 2003. Paul’s formal training in technical production at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) drives his signature 'theatrical touch' - using the precision and creativity of the theatre in the technical production of special events. His in-depth knowledge in technical equipment is a remarkable strength, and he uses it to use minimal cost to achieve maximum effect. Paul held a prominent role in the technical production of the opening and closing ceremonies for the Melbourne Commonwealth Games in 2006, assisted in the technical production of communications for the 2006 Asian Games in Doha as well as managed the complex communications system at World Youth Day in Sydney 2008. With a passion for the vibrant event industry, Paul thrives on the deadline and pressure oriented nature of his work to produce seamless results for his clients. Paul's speciality is using his technical abilities in innovative and creative ways, particularly with the art of light and theatrics. Paul is highly service oriented and values strong communication with his clients - listening closely, he is a master of interpreting the brief to technically produce an event which reflects his client’s vision. Paul is a member of both the Professional Development and YMEA committees of the Meetings and Events Australia Board and won the NSW Young Future Leader Award in 2008. Paul also enjoys setting off fireworks and designing large pyrotechnic displays for events across the world with one of Australia's leading fireworks companies. ![]() |
